I got paid for this? Seriously??

Last year I was contacted by Chris McNeil, the Wyoming State OVH Safety and education guru. He wanted to take me and my equipment into the mountains with as many snowmobile clubs as he could find, to start the process of making a state wide club recruitment video. He wanted it directed toward youth for the purpose of encouraging safety, proper riding, avalanche training, scholarships, safety, and safety.

Gee, let me think about it-YEP! I'M IN!

We hooked up with two groups of fantastic people. Rocky Treese (member of the Wyoming State Snowmobile Association board of directors) and the "Riverton Sno-goers" club took us to the Brooks Lake area. No words necessary if you've been there, and no words could do it justice. Let's just say it wasn't Rawlins.
The second group that we went out with (the very next weekend) was the "Pinedale Snow Explorers" Club. We spent two days going places you just couldn't go without a brilliant and experienced group of people, and not to mention extremely powerful machines.

This happened very late in the season, so all we were able to capture was three days of footage, and one of the days was so foggy and snowy that filming was pointless. I also had to spend some time actually learning how to ride these things without getting stuck all the time! Two days of filming wasn't enough to make the kind of video they wanted (yet), but...

I put this short little video together to say thank you, promote the Pinedale Snow Explorers, and help pump us up for this season!!

9 hours

No, this video is not 9 hours long... What it is, is the skateboarding footage that took us 9 hours to get. And 9 hours isn't bad at all if I am doing one of the greatest things in my world, with some of the greatest people in my world.

Lets hear it for the extra energy we all get when spring comes along! This video was edited in one day. My eyes were out of energy by the time I finished.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Wait... That needs more color...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Christmas for Wright Media this year will be memorable. (not just because we are going to Mexico :) We had the opportunity to film a benefit dance recital for a sweet little 3 year old girl, Krysta Hubbard, who unfortunately is undergoing treatment for a brain tumor that has left her almost completely blind.

The Nutcracker program, held in support of her, was put together by the amazingly selfless Tricia Lawrence at Positively Ballet in Lander. So many people participated and gave of their time, talents, and money for such a good cause. How could you not feel the Christmas spirit at an event like that?

We don't have the dance recital online, but here is a video of us doing the other Christmasy stuff that isn't quite as rewarding, but still necessary. Music, dancing, decorations, hot chocolate, and rubber ducky nativity scenes are a must at our place.

Test video, test post

Matt spent a lovely fall afternoon helping rake leaves at his parents house, and testing out his new camera, which he is now totally in love with (I'm not jealous at all). We thought this would be a good first video to kick start this new business blog. Enjoy!
